Neolitics is pleased to announce the addition of John Coates, a renowned optical designer, to our Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Coates has 45 years of experience in optical spectroscopy and is currently the principal consultant for Coates Consulting, a network consultancy focused on the design, development, and miniaturization of technology for dedicated industrial applications. During John’s illustrious career, he spent over a decade in the oil and gas industry and over twenty-two years with a number of key instrumentation companies.
Dr. Coates obtained his doctorate in analytical chemistry from Brunel University in the United Kingdom. He is the author of over 100 peer reviewed articles, several book chapters, and has multiple patents that have been awarded or are currently pending. In addition, Dr. Coates is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and was awarded the Williams-Wright Award of the Coblentz Society for Infrared Spectroscopy in 2013.
